It’s Jan 4th and I am in Phi Phi Islands, the islands chosen for “The Beach” movie by Leonardo Di Caprio, who happens to be one the most global influencing activist. I am writing from Thailand, in the middle of the trajectory of the worst hurricane since 1962 which is impacting the area with its violence.

Exactly as climate change is real.
No matter how far it seems to be from you.

I’m currently isoleted from the land. No ferry, no flight, no telephon communication. It’s Jan 4th and I am in Phi Phi Islands, the islands chosen for “The Beach” movie by Leonardo Di Caprio, who happens to be one the most global influencing activist.

I’m writing few moments before the hurrican impacts on the ground, according to the official local authorities.

So I am now experiencing a suspanded dimension, where time seems to be stopped by a surreal framework made by fear and waiting for the worst to came.

As a human being I could react in two different ways: I could feel powerless and overwelmed by panic or I could try to speak truth to my contemporaries, conscious that no matter how small we are, we can always make a difference.

This is what the 15 years Sweden activist, Greta Thunberg, said during the last COP 24 in Poland. And she currently is representing, as testimonial, The Italian Federation for Human Rights- Environment and Innovation Committee I am National Chairman of.

“You are never too small to make the difference”.
